THIRD ALBUM ON ITS WAY...

After a hectic 2018, during which he left his native Switzerland to pursue a degree in Aerospace Engineering in the Netherlands, Cabanas took a semi-break off music to focus on new horizons.
This move seems to have sparked his creativity again, as he's managed to pull off about 20 new tracks over the past 12 months. Shifting his focus from rock-driven tunes to more sombre, acoustic ballads. Heavily inspired by Townes Van Zandt and Jim Croce, the upcoming album touches on the themes of death, drugs, love, and depression.
Recordings started in October, and the album is expected for March 2020.

BIO

A Story Steeped in Sound

Born in Madrid (Spain), Marcos Cabanas is a native of Rolle (Switzerland) - town in which he first picked up a guitar. Heavily inspired by the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Johnny Cash, and more recently Chris Stapleton, Cabanas writes about the life of the common man, inhabiting his positions in Swiss/Spanish cultures. In a mix of Southern and Urban Rock, Cabanas was nurtured with the music of older generations, from where his distinct sound has developed. At only 19 years old, Cabanas has already released a debut EP (The Godfather, 2017), and a second studio work (Solitary Nights, 2018).

After a 'semi-break' from music in late 2018/2019, when Cabanas left his native Switzerland to pursue an engineering degree in the Netherlands, he's back with a new collection of intimate, acoustic tracks, inspired by the music of Colter Wall, Jim Croce, and Townes Van Zandt, to be released as a third album in 2020...
